Thriplow Daffodil Week-end

• We start the day by visiting the enormous Scotsdale Garden Centre. This has become a favorite with our guests because it is great for a cooked breakfast and so big with such a variety of goods & garden equipment. Our visit will allow you to explore what’s new for this spring season. It’s only 30mins from Thriplow!

• Attracting over 10,000 visitors each year, Thriplow Daffodil Weekend is a village community working together and virtually everyone in the village takes part.

• Craft Barns, Marquees, Stalls & Demonstrations together with Live Folk & Pop music on the cricket pitch.

• The ‘Taste of Thriplow’: Tea & cakes available in the school, village hall & cricket pavilion. Farmers market and food stalls in the marquee and the bar’s there!

• Visit the Classic cars, vintage tractors & steam engines on display and working.

• Heavy horses will be giving dray rides up & down school Street all day.

• There is Morris Dancing, Gun Dog Scurry, Fun Dogs Show, have a go Archery and lots more all taking place within walking distance.

• For the kids there is Face painting, Punch & Judy, Bouncy Castles, Beat the Buzzer, a petting zoo & much more.

• The Church will be hosting, Bell ringing, Organ music, Choir Singing and their version of ‘Songs of Praise’

The event is a charity event started in 1969 to raise money to repair the church roof. This event is now the proud owner of the “Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service” and raises money for several local charities.
