Embark on a picturesque 5-hour Thames Cruise starting from the historic Runnymede, a place rich with cultural heritage and natural beauty. Runnymede holds a significant place in British history, being the site where the Magna Carta was sealed in 1215. This riverside location provides a tranquil backdrop for the commencement of our Thames adventure, with its lush meadows and peaceful ambiance setting the stage for a memorable day.
Once aboard you will find yourself gently gliding along the Thames, with its meandering curves and scenic views. The cruise promises a visual feast, with verdant riverbanks, charming villages, and historic landmarks dotting the landscape.
Early in the cruise, you will be treated to a traditional Ploughman’s Lunch. This hearty British meal consisting of cheese, ham, Pork pie, coleslaw, Green salade with apples, and tomatoes, pickled onion, gherkins and pickle plus Roll & Butter and a slice of cake.
As the afternoon progresses, indulge in the quintessentially British tradition of Cream Tea. Enjoy scones, clotted cream, and strawberry jam, accompanied by a pot of freshly brewed tea. making it a perfect day out on the Thames.
For people with walking difficulties—although the coach parks very near the boat and boarding is on a level ramp you will have to walk across rough grass to reach the boat. The visit to the Magna Carter site is not suitable for people with walking difficulties as it requires some walking across a field. (You can remain on the coach)
(Price includes return coach, boat ticket and Ploughman’s Lunch & afternoon cream tea)
