About the Group
Havering and District Association arrange day visits and short- break holidays through the Summer and last year (2011) we visited Buckinghamshire and the Chilterns, Hole Park gardens, Sissinghurst Castle garden and Olympic London Explorer. In September we had a full guided holiday to the Lake District visiting a wealth of its beautiful history.
Havering and District meets once a month on a Saturday at Ardleigh House Community Centre, Ardleigh Green Road, Hornchurch, Essex. Speakers talk about our Heritage, often with slides. The meetings are open to NT members and visitors for a small donation. You will find a friendly very warm welcome if you visit us – give it a try and socialise with like minded people - you will not be disappointed!!
An added attraction is that ample free car parking is available. Public transport is available to the door. (Ardleigh House is next to Havering College).
The Association can be joined on the day or by telephone from our membership duo Keith and Beryl Sharp 01708 227362.
Established for some 32 years we sell National Trust items as well as local produce. Why not enjoy tea and cake during the interval with like minded people. We also fund-raise and support the work of the National Trust.
